Sparkle Weekend is a safe, welcoming, and empowering space for people of all gender identities to come together, celebrate who they are, and proudly share our stories with the wider world. It’s a place to honour our community’s diversity and creativity, support trans youth, and stand visible and strong in the heart of Manchester.
 

Across three days, expect a vibrant mix of live music, dazzling drag, interactive workshops, inspiring talks, and meaningful conversations led by trailblazing trans and gender-diverse voices. From joyful performances to moments of reflection and connection — this is a space to uplift, celebrate, and inspire.
 

We are proud to create this space alongside our incredible volunteers, donors, and sponsors — making Sparkle one of the most wonderful, safe and inclusive events in the UK.

Throughout the weekend, you’ll meet artists, activists, allies, and community members from all walks of life — all coming together to build a colourful, inclusive event where everyone is seen, heard, and celebrated.
 

But Sparkle Weekend is about more than just having fun (though there’ll be plenty of that too!). It’s about raising awareness, creating connections, and building a stronger future for trans and gender-diverse people. Whether you’re part of the community or an ally, this is your chance to show up, learn, grow, and support the amazing individuals who push for visibility, rights, and equality every day.
 

With a focus on creativity, self-expression, and joy, we invite you to come exactly as you are — whether that’s dressed to dazzle, comfy and casual, or anything in between. Over the years, many of you have shared your wider LGBTQ+ identities with us — and Sparkle celebrates every form of gender diversity, sexuality, queerness, and humanity.
 

This is a celebration of authenticity, pride, and the beauty of trans and gender-diverse life — in all its forms.
